The Santa Express is a traditional Christmas train featuring an opportunity to meet Santa and his elves. These trains operate on our regular daytime schedule between Flemington and Ringoes, NJ. On each train, Santa and his elves will go through the train to greet each child and give them a free candy cane. The Santa Express is the perfect way for your toddlers to meet Santa for the first time in a comfortable atmosphere!

The 10-mile, 45-minute round trip excursion from Whippany to Roseland and return allows riders time to enjoy the Spirit of the Season and the merriment on the train. During each excursion, Santa makes his way through the train and visits with every child onboard. Santa's helpers follow along, giving the kids a special gift from Santa. Be sure to bring your camera and take pictures of the kids with Santa, so they can always remember their day onboard the train! The SANTA CLAUS SPECIAL is a fundraising effort to benefit the Whippany Railway Museum, a non-profit Operating Heritage Railroad organization that is staffed by volunteers. Allaire Village will be transformed for Christmas with holiday festivities, A Christmas Carol and Lantern Tours.

Other special programs throughout the weekend include Mummer Plays, Hearth Cooking, and Apple Drying and Stringing. A special feature of this event is the annual re-opening of the Allaire Station Post Office in the General Store Museum Gift Shoppe. Visitors may bring their stamped holiday cards for mailing. Each item mailed will be hand post-marked with the latest US Postal Service Allaire Christmas Cache Cancellation Stamp. Designed by Wall Twp. artist and Auxiliary member Janice Collinson, these stamps have become a holiday tradition for many families. While at the General Store feel free to browse the aisles where you can find that perfect Holiday Gift. Be sure to see the latest editions of our Christmas Collectible Ornaments while there. Tickets are available at the gate, by mail or phone by calling (732) 919 - 3500. Due to the popularity of the events, all ticket sales are final. On Dec. 9 and Dec.16 at 7:30 pm, Allaire Village ushers in the holiday season with a holiday classic, A Christmas Carol. Tickets are $15 per person and advance ticket purchase is highly recommended. Also at the Village, there will be Holiday Lantern Tours on Dec. 10 and Dec. 17 from 5 pm. to 8 pm. Admission is $10 per person. The 90-minute tours leave every 15 minutes and advance ticket purchases are recommended. Find homes and other buildings displaying holiday lights. Holiday Activities at Johnson Farms in Medford
The Holidays are an exciting time of year at the farm. The Market is transformed into a Christmas wonderland with Gifts, Cookies, Christmas trees, Wreaths and all kinds of fun activities for the family. Stop out on weekends in December to visit with Santa and his Reindeer. Yes it is true, Prancer will be on display in the Discovery Barnyard and Santa will be receiving Christmas wishes for one and all. Bring your own Camera for a great Photo op. Costs: Visit with Santa--No Charge - bring your camera Costs:Reindeer exhibit in the Discovery Barnyard---$3.25 per person (child or adult) under 12 months free We also offer Horse Drawn Hayrides through the Holiday Season.
